WHY DO WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT?

Every year, 30,000 children are admitted to hospital because of their asthma. Having an asthma attack is frightening, and having to go to hospital makes this worse especially for children.

Asthma UK is the charity dedicated to improving the health and well-being of all people with asthma in the UK. We give parents of children with asthma, their teachers and healthcare professionals the tools, knowledge and understanding to encourage them to take control of their condition and keep them out of hospital.

We can’t do this alone. We need support from people like you; people who want to help keep our children out of hospital and help them to reach their full potential.

You don’t have to set huge fundraising targets to make a difference. The list below shows what your money could do.

£25 could give an early years teacher vital information to ensure children with asthma learn in a safe environment (and can safely take their medicine).

£155 could ensure six parents of children with asthma receive life-changing support and advice from a specialist asthma nurse on the Asthma UK Adviceline.

£565 could train and support a Speak Up For Asthma volunteer to raise awareness about asthma and the work of Asthma UK amongst community groups, schools and local councils for one year.

£1,550 provides an asthma specialist nurse for one week to provide vital care and support for people with asthma.
